SCHENECTADY – Audrey H. Roberts, 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Bowles.
Audrey was a resident at Omni Senior Living of Guilderland. She worked for Price Chopper, St. Margaret Home and Hospital for Babies, and SEFCU. Audrey enjoyed shopping, collecting, sewing and crafts. She loved vacationing in Myrtle Beach.
Along with her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her first husband of 21 years, Benedict Tuper, second husband of 5 years, Roger Roberts, and companion William Richard.
She will be missed by her children, Tracy (Gary) Francis of East Greenbush, Thomas Tuper of Schenectady, Timothy Tuper of Colonie, and Audra (Bob) Allen of Colonie; siblings Sheila Furman of TX, Kimberly Florey of PA, Barbara Bowles of CA, and David Bowles of Albany; grandchildren Jason Witham of PA, Kristopher Francis of East Greenbush, Joshua Tuper of Queens, and Amanda Allen of Colonie; great-grandson Michael Witham, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 6:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Memorial calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Kidney Foundation, 501 New Karner Road, Suite 6, Albany, NY 12205 in Audrey's name.
