COLONIE, NY – Audrey P. Relyea, 84, passed away at home on Saturday, January 09, 2010. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Vivian Pittz. Audrey was raised in Delmar and was a graduate of Bethlehem Central High School. She had resided in Colonie for 63 years. Audrey was a jewelry maker and worked for the former Kelly's Jewelers for 25 years. She was a former member of the Lisha Kill Senior Citizens, where she was very active and helped coordinate many of their trips. Audrey was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth E. Relyea. She is the devoted mother of Kenneth E. (Elaine) Relyea, Neal K. (Mary Jane) Relyea, Kathleen R. (John) Seibert, Jeffrey P. (Donna) Relyea and the late Caroline Relyea. She is the cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Matthew, Jeremy, Rebecca, Kenneth, Nathaniel, John, David, Jennifer and the late Erin. Audrey is the sister of Lorinda Deitz, Seward Pittz, Betty Chesebourgh, Rosemary Blodgett and the late Vincent, John and Edward Pittz, and Helen Rourke. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 406, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205 or the American Diabetes Association, 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Audrey P.
