Audrey P Shea, 79, passed away peacefully at The Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre in Schenectady Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
Audrey was born in Hudson, NY to Lester W. Shea Sr. and Emma Ida (Bender) Shea. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Mattoon-Savage and step-siblings Lester Shea Jr. and Lorraine Webster. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families. She cherished her niece Shannon Savage "Cookie" and her nephew Gregory Savage "Babe".
Audrey was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving our country from 1953 to 1956. She worked many years as an office manager for Dr. Harvey M Friedman, DDS, prior to retiring. The Brooklyn/LA Dodgers and her Irish heritage were passions in her life. "With a Shallelagh in me hand and a twinkle in me eye, I'll be off to Tipperary in the mornin." Those who knew her can certainly attest to that twinkle in her eyes.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service being held Tuesday August 26th, 2 PM at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY.
