NISKAYUNA – Augusto F. Conti, 76, died on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Augusto was born on August 29, 1928 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Aurelio and Nicoletta Pandolfi Conti.
Augusto served in the US Army during the Korean War where he achieved the rank of sergeant and was a field artillery specialist. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for their care and concern they gave to Augusto.
Augusto is survived by his daughter and her husband, Nancy and Robert Monz of West Palm Beach, FL, his son and his wife, David and Rebecca Conti of Niskayuna, his sister, Filomena Conti of Pittsburgh, PA and his grandchildren, Keith and Taylor Monz and Nathan and Emily Conti.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at a time to be announced at the New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon – Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
