Augustyn "Augie" Krajewski, 90, on March 11, 2015 he rode off into the sunset, in a blaze of glory on his 1942 Harley Davidson. He was greeted at the pearly gates of Heaven by his sibling, Adolph and Charles Krajewski, Lottie Neal, Victoria Finn, Nephew Charlie Krajewski and niece Carol Evans.
Dad was a gunner's mate and served in the Navy during WWII. Returning home he was employed by the Schenectady Post Office for 29 years. Upon retiring he worked for the State of New York during Tax season. He truly enjoyed the friendships he made there.
Augie was an avid sportsman and animal lover. He enjoyed car racing, bowling, wrestling, the Detroit Tigers baseball, golfing and camping. He passed on his passion of go-carting, fishing, hunting, archery and motorcycles to his son Gary and grandson Greg. Dad was a member of the Guan Ho-Ha Gun Club and the American Legion Local #1005.
Augie was a jack of all trades. He could repair or build just about anything. There was no challenge he wouldn't tackle.
In 1954 Dad and Mom built a camp on Sacandaga Reservoir, for 50 years camp was our haven for the summer, and we all loved the serenity it provided. Dad was proud of his Polish heritage, loved his Polish music, and would never refuse a good cold beer.
Dad leaves behind his loving wife, Jessie (Prystup) Krajewski whom he married on June 29, 1946; his children Cynthia (Joe) DiFranco and Gary (Linda Capasso) Krajewski; his grandchildren Gregory (Jen) Krajewski, Christine Krajewski, Zachary DiFranco; his great grand baby Gavin Krajewski and several nieces and nephews and let us not forget Becky and Bentley.
God blessed our family with a wonderful husband, father and friend. This is not good-bye Dad – its so long for now and we will see you on the other side.
Our love forever Jessie, Cindi and Gary.
