Austin Wayne Carroll

ROTTERDAM – Austin Wayne Carroll, 14 months, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013, in the loving arms of his family. Austin is the cherished son of Eric Carroll and Jennifer Muscanell of Rotterdam. He is the loving grandson of Jeffrey and Leanna Muscanell, Mark Carroll and Robert and Mary Barrera. Austin is the beloved great-grandson of John and Fran Muscanell, Lorraine Dennis, Patricia Carroll, Carlos Barrera, Sylvia Politano and the late Marion Muscanell and Harry Dennis. He is the adored nephew of Lauren and Katelin Barrera, Haley Carroll, Jeffrey and Bruce Muscanell, Robert Barrera and Scott Carroll. Also surviving are his cousins, Caiden White and Brody and Kyson Carroll. Austin will also be missed by his favorite little dog, Scooby whom he called "Doggie."


Austin's positive energy touched many lives of family and friends all around. His long eyelashes and butterfly kisses were enough to brighten anyone's day. Austin had smiles and giggles that could light up the world. He had more love and affection to give in his little body then most people could give in a lifetime. Austin was always full of life and loved to be around people. In his first year of life, Austin traveled to Disney and was able to meet his favorite character, Jake. He spent weekends of the summer at the Jersey Shore as well as camping in Lake George. Just days ago, he took his first steps and loved walking. Austin also learned to fake a cough and sneeze and his evenings were spent outside on his four-wheeler, walking and chasing his own shadow. Austin will never be forgotten and will hold a special place in everyone's heart.


Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
