Ava Lee Courtwright, 72, wife of the late Minister Ronald Courtwright, Sr., Albany. NY earned her wings and ascended peacefully at home on Sunday, June 27, 2021
Ava Courtwright was born on December 4, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Samuel Avant and Ethel Sutton.
Ava attended and graduated from Rensselaer High School. She later worked and retired from the Good Samaritan Lutheran Home in Delmar, NY where she cared for the elderly. In Ava's spare time she loved bingo, casino and playing cards and shoe shopping.
She leaves to cherish her memory her five children: Andrea Sutton Hampton, NH, Jason White, Omar Courtwright, Brent White, Aja Courtwright all of Albany, NY; 13 grandchildren: Adriana, Haley, Ramar, Rameke, Jaemier, De'montae, Ozias, Ozariah, Ramar, Alonah, Sahleah; her sister, Dana Kornegay of Albany, NY and a very special cousin, Mary King of Griffin, GA, Special Friend Valerie May and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel Avant and Ethel Sutton her husband, Ronald Courtwright two sons Samuel (Gumby) Sutton & Ramar Courtwright two grandchildren Omari, Omarion, Courtwright three sisters: Carol Beauchamp, Sandra (Sweetice) Yarbrough & Beatrice Smith
