LATHAM – B. Wayne Karl, 76, of Latham, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2005 after a long illness. Born in Colonie, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Catherine Reilly Karl. He was a resident of Colonie for most of his life. Wayne was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran serving his country in World War II. Mr. Karl was Vice president and general manager of MOPAR of Northeastern United States and worked as manager of other local car dealerships. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1450 and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Wayne is the beloved husband of 17 years to Barbara M. Tuller Karl. He is the father of David W. Karl and his wife, Sandra of Connecticut and Stephen J. Karl and his wife, Tracey of Saratoga. Wayne is the brother of Jerry Karl and his wife, Linda of Colonie and the late Ronald Karl. He is the grandfather of Trevor and Kehmally; brother-in-law of Thomas Tuller and Everett Tuller and his wife, Doris. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
