Barbara A. Shoemaker

GUILDERLAND – Barbara A. Shoemaker, 69, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2010 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was born on August 19, 1940 in Schenectady and was the daughter of the late Francis and Beatrice LaBreck. She enjoyed painting, reading and music, but most especially spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by her son, Keith F. (Tammy) Shoemaker; her daughter, Melissa L. Pigliavento; her stepchildren, Linda Johnson, Kenneth N. Shoemaker, Jr., and Alisa (William) Pickett; her sister, Jeanie Wuyjack; her brothers, Richard and John LaBreck; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Kenneth N. Shoemaker and William Kain and her brother, Francis "Blackie" LaBreck.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment Memory's Garden in Colonie.
