NISKAYUNA – Barbara A. Biggerstaff, 85, joined her beloved husband, John Biggerstaff, Jr. in eternity, on Monday, March 1, 2021.
She was born in Albany on November 26, 1935 a daughter of the late George and Louise (Miller) Gilbert.
Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family. She will be greatly missed. She enjoyed playing Bingo and was a life member with the Ladies Auxiliary of Stanford Heights Fire Department.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Geraldine Law and Diane Pierce.
Barbara is survived by her 3 sons, John E. (Gail) Biggerstaff III, Mark E. (Ruth) Biggerstaff and Brent Biggerstaff. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Melissa and Mark and 3 great grandchildren, Max, Alexander and Julia.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105-9959.
