Barbara Dlugolecki Abbott

d. September 23, 2008

SCOTIA- Barbara (Dlugolecki) Abbott, 71, of Scotia was reunited with her beloved husband David on Tuesday September 23, 2008.
She was born in Utica on May 26, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Edward Werner and Lillian LaManque.
Barbara and David Abbott spent over 25 years in the glazing business, completing many projects in the Capital Region. As one of the few female glazers in the industry, Barbara took great pride in her work. She and David also spent as much time as possible traveling the country in their motor home, fulfilling her sense of adventure and love of nature. Her dog, Nibby has provided Barbara with constant love and companionship through difficult times and along illness. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Hebert.
Survived by her children, Barbara leaves countless memories to John Dlugolecki (Noreen) of Voorheesville, Tracy Sulem (Ron) of Sloansville, April Braman (Jim) of Loudonville and Ed Dlugolecki (Lisa) of Scotia. As their adventurous, loving Grandma/Grams, she is cherished and deeply loved by Colton and Lauren Dlugolecki, Eric Sulem, Madison and Timothy Braman, Isabella and Sophia Dlugolecki.
At Barbara's request, funeral services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. To leave a special message for the family online, visit NewcomerFamily.com
