SCHENECTADY – Barbara A. (Button) Downs, 64, of Schenectady passed away on Friday May 27, 2022 after a long illness.
She was born in Niskayuna on October 8, 1957 a daughter of Wallace F. and Florence M. (Brown) Button.
Barbara was a graduate of Mohanasen High School in Rotterdam.
She was predeceased by her father this past year; her grandparents and her many aunts and uncles.
Barbara is survived by her mother; her sister Vicki Stirzaker; her son, Michael (Stacey) Downs; her three grandsons, Carter, Logan and Aiden; her niece, Meagan Button and her son Lucas and many other relatives. She will be lovingly remembered by her best friends, Lois, Bonnie, Donna, Diane, Cori and her four-legged friend, Cooper - her cat.
A visiting hour will be held from 10am to 11am on Monday, June 6, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
Memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
