ALBANY- Barbara A. Franklin, 82, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017, surrounded by the love of her family.
Barbara was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Ernest and Vinnie May on July 24, 1935. Barbara was married to the late Louis Franklin until his passing in 1975. Barbara raised three children, and worked as a nurse's aide at the V.A. Hospital, and Albany County Nursing Home. She also worked for NYS for over 10 years.
Barbara is survived by her children, Chris (Karen) Franklin, Donald (Sally) Franklin, and Cynthia Boyd, her seven grandchildren, and her six great-grandchildren, and a host of siblings, nieces, and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 58 Alexander Street, Albany, NY 12202, on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 9:30am-11am with a service to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Albany, NY
