Guilderland- Barbara J. Hans, 86, passed away with family by her side on Monday, January 30, 2023. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Hoover and Dolores Sauer. Barbara is predeceased by her husband, Frank H. Hans.
Barbara loved traveling especially to the ocean visiting Maine and The Cape. She enjoyed writing poetry but above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her six children; Mark DeSano (Liz Sands), Scott DeSano, Penny Percey, Gloria Percey, Paula Rice and Paul Percey II. She will also be missed by her five grandchildren, Victoria, Karac, Dennis, Nicole and Katharine and nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Barbara is reunited in heaven with her beloved dog, Scotty.
A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave, Albany, NY 12203 on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 11am.
