Barbara J. Burmaster

COLONIE – Barbara J. Burmaster, 67, of Colonie, passed away on Friday December 11, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Albany and was a 1962 graduate of Albany High School. She is the daughter of the late Pirie and Josephine Burleski Burmaster.
Barbara was a clerk with NYS Department of Higher Education for 27 years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Lisha Kill Seniors, Hebert Kuhn Village Seniors and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Joseph Zaloga American Legion Post. Barbara was a Sparkling Scarlet of the Latham Red Hats.
She is the sister of Paul Burmaster, Patricia (Wayne) Beaulieu, David (Helen) Burmaster and Gail (Mike) Bruso. She is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260, Osborne Rd.
