Barbara J. Haley

NORTH GREENBUSH – Barbara J. Haley, 72, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Stamford, CT, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mary Christman.

Barbara worked as a secretary for East Greenbush School District, then as a homemaker and mother until her death. She was active in school volunteering in the elementary grades. Barbara also helped in Ski Club Activities at Columbia High School. Her interests included crafts, photography and family tree history and research.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles; daughters Megan and Jennifer; brother Russell "Chris", and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at 6:30 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Memorial calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 6:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in Barbara's name.
