Barbara M. Lyden

LOUDONVILLE – Barbara M. Lyden, 82, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, G. Collins Lyden and her daughter, Mary Carol Patterson.
Barbara was born on March 21, 1929 in Meriden, Conn. and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Marcinak. She was a real estate broker for over 20 years, owning and operating the Barbara Lyden Realty in Loudonville. She then worked for the NYS Department of Tax and Finance for 13 years before retiring. Barbara had many friends and varied interests. She was an amateur artist, loved to travel, gamble, and spend time with family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Eleanor Revoir of Meriden, Conn.; her daughters, Cynthia Lyden of Loudonville and Nancy Hutchings of Denver, CO; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church, Loudonville. Interment will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m.
