Barbara M. Romano, 80, passed away on July 22, 2024.
Born February 6, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Dorothy Davis.
Barbara was employed as a cook at Valente's Restaurant in Watervliet for over 33 years, and White House Assisted Living in Rensselaer for 8 years until her retirement in 2010. She was the matriarch of the family, always devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald J. Romano Sr. and 5 grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her children: Thomas (Becky), Donald Jr. (Mimi), Jeffrey (Theresa), Barbara Ann, James (Laura) and Marie (Romano) Mayfield. She is also survived by her sister, Hilda "Heidi" Davis, over 40 grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Schenectady.
