Barbara Sandmeyer
September 10, 1942 — April 10, 2023
Barbara A. Sandmeyer, 80 of Rotterdam passed away peacefully April 10, 2023 at Ellis Residential & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of Helen & Frederick Sandmeyer.
She graduated from Guilderland High School. She worked at a lumber company in Guilderland for many years. Barbara enjoyed going out with her friends, bowling and participating in church activities.
Barbara is survived by her sister Marilyn Smith of Feura Bush, her brother William Sandmeyer of California, niece Maureen Carroll of Ravena, niece Kristine Alsaadi (Hossam) and their children Hannah and Zayn of South Carolina.
A special thank you to the staff at Ellis Residential and Rehab Center.
A visitation will be held on Monday April 17th from 11:30am - 1:30pm, with a brief service to follow at 1:30, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Messiah Lutheran church at 2850 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306, where she was a member.
Interment to follow in Memory Gardens.
