Barbara Ann Selmon

CLIFTON PARK - Barbara Ann Selmon, 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018, with her loving family by her side at St. Peter's Hospital. Barbara had endured a long struggle with COPD showing a valiant fighting spirit and strength with her every breath. She can finally rest easy and will be sorely missed.

Barbara was born on March 31, 1953 in Troy, NY and graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1971. She worked for the NYS Health Dept. and married her beloved husband Brian in 1976. She enjoyed decorating her home with such flair and talent creating beauty and style with her unique touch - she created a paradise of her back yard, enjoying relaxing in her gazebo and lounging by the pool. She was in demand by many neighbors and friends for her decorating talents, which she always abided them with her help and input. Heaven may be in for a make over when Barbara arrives.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Ralph Lombardo and the late Mary Powers. Survivors include her beloved husband, Brian of 41 years; her son, Adam; her daughter Stefanie; her caring sister, Laurie Leahey; her brother, Robert Lombardo and wife and her BFF, Wendy Willard Lombardo; her brother, Ralph "Mickey" Lombardo and wife Susan; her wise and generous brother-in-law, Tracy Selmon and wife Helen; and sister-in-law, Cindy Selmon and husband Searle. She will be especially missed by her good friends, Lori Slingerland, Barbara Krok and Lisa Hodovanec and several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her sweet doggy, Lexi.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, where a Remembrance Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery in Schenectady.
