SARATOGA SPRINGS- Barbara F. Stamas, 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018.
Barbara was born in Erie, PA to the late Samuel and Alma Fisher, on January 29, 1939. Barbara married the love of her life Thomas A. Stamas on November 11, 1982. They were married for 16 years until his passing in 1998. Barbara worked as a Director for NYS Dept. of Social Services for over 20 years. Barbara will be remembered for her love of traveling, and going on walks. Her passion in life was her family.
Barbara is predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas A. Stamas.
She is survived by her children, Christina (John) Preville, Tom (Michelle) Stamas, Stephanie (Dennis) Pinchbeck, and John Stamas, her grandchildren, Rachael, Crystal, John, Katelyn, Alex, Kyle, Sean, Sara, Nicholas, and Alexandra, her three great-grandchildren, and her brother, Don Fisher
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.
