Barbara Jean Vanvranken

Barbara Jean VanVranken, 68, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2022 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Barbara was the daughter of the late William DuBray and Janet Rivers. Barbara was the devoted wife to the late Robert C. VanVranken.
Barbara enjoyed camping, dancing, going to Karaoke and spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Jake and Helene Suriano and her brother Johnny Larkin.
Barbara is survived by her children, Lynnette (Brandon Nichols) Hunt and George (Stacey Burgess) Powley. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn (Jamie) Hunt, Taylor Hunt, Rielly Hunt and Braden Powley. Her siblings, Michael (Debbie) DuBray, Sue Larkin and Earl DuBray, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later date.
