Beatrice A. Rivers

Beatrice A. (Brown) Rivers, 66, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 after a brief illness. Beatrice was born in Albany to the late Wesley and Mae Brown. She was an Albany resident most of her life and worked for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance until retirement. Beatrice enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. In addition to her parents Beatrice was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Victor J. Rivers, her brothers and sisters; Wesley, Margaret, George, Richard and Stanley.
Beatrice is survived by her sister Bertha Brown; her niece Tammy Dibella, whom she shared a special bond with and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave).
