BEATRICE HARRIS, the oldest of seven children was born September 26, 1930 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Harry and Carriebell Grace. After a long fruitful life BEATRICE peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 20, 2019.
BEATRICE was educated in the Dothan City School District and obtained her high school diploma. In 1963, BEATRICE relocated with her family to Albany, New York. Loving and kind with a heart for ALL people, BEATRICE pursued a career in nursing and worked as a nurse at Albany Memorial Hospital for many years until she retired.
Beatrice accepted the Lord as her Savior at a young age and was a dedicated and faithful servant until the time of her passing. Beatrice loved the Lord and to read her Bible. She was an ardent witness and would always preach to the lost and unsaved! A kind and compassionate person, she would take care of ANY and EVERYONE who had a need! Another favorite pastimes of BEATRICE was food, she loved to eat.
In addition to her parents, BEATRICE was predeceased by her sisters, Eva Mae McCray and Rose Young, her brothers, Harry Grace, Jr. and Jeffrey Grace, and nephew, Sandy McCray.
BEATRICE leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Betty Johnson (Albany, NY) and Mable Grisley (FL); adopted daughter, Janice Miles (Eddie) of Albany; grandchildren, Temikia Mitchell, Natarshal Miles, Teskeisha Miles and Eddie Miles, Jr. All of Albany; beloved niece, Vera Howard of Albany; special nephew, Edward McCray of Albany; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
