Nagy, Beatrice
Albany – Beatrice Mabel Nagy, 85, passed away peacefully Monday October 11, 2010 at Ellis Hospital.
Beatrice was born in New Scotland a daughter of the late William and Mabel Crounse and was a life long area resident. She worked for the Guilderland Central School system for almost ten years. Beatrice resided in the Capital District until her retirement when she and her husband moved to Mechanicsville, Virginia. They returned to the Guilderland area two years ago. She was a Member of Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed dancing, gardening, camping and relaxing at the beach.
Beatrice is survived by her husband of 33 years Emerick "Rick" Nagy, children: Nancy (TJ) VanWagenen, Diane (Walt) Platt, Terri (Dean) Bostwick, Mary Wingrove and Peter (Kathie) Zaremski, step children: Charles J. (Katie) Nagy, Susan (Lauris) Petersen, John (Karen) Nagy, Catherine (Kevin) Petersen, Virginia (Jim) Street and Mary (Ray) Kirsten, 34 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Arlene Person and brothers Stanley and Rudolph Crounse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Friday at The Parish of Mater Christi (formerly St. Catherine of Siena). Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerAlbany.com
