Beatrice Rose(Ricciardi) Carr

ALBANY – Beatrice Rose (Ricciardi) Carr, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2009 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Beatrice was born on July 22, 1927 in Albany and was the daughter of the late Crescenzo and Josephine (Cioffi) Ricciardi. She worked for New York Telephone and Telegraph for over 45 years. She enjoyed dancing and singing throughout her life. She loved to travel, garden, and tinker. She loved to cook and bake, apple pies a specialty. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was a hard and tireless worker who was protective of her family, and a good loyal and caring friend to many. She was a member of the Colonie Seniors where she enjoyed playing bingo and a member of the Polish American Club.
Beatrice is survived by her children, Deborah A. (Frederick) Dollar of Freehold, NY and David Brian (Leah Landrie) Carr of Hartford, CT; her grandchildren, Christopher J., Jeffrey J., Jessica L. and Joseph T. McNally; and her great-grandchildren, Jacquilyne, Cassandra, Jayden and Ciera McNally and Evania Hill. She is also survived by her brother, Christopher (Maryellen) Ricciardi; her sisters, Madeline Schaf and Grace D'Alessandro and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Anthony and Dominic Ricciardi and her sister, Anne Sweeney.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
