Beatrice R. Rucinski

ALTAMONT- Beatrice R. Rucinski, age 90, passed away on January 30, 2023 at her residence.
She was born in Argyle, NY, the daughter of the late Carson and Isabel Bennett. She was also predeceased by her devoted husband of 53 years, Peter A. Rucinski in 2008.
Beatrice worked for NY Telephone for many years, before becoming a homemaker to take care of her family and her daughter's needs. The family moved from Clifton Park to Altamont in 1976.
She enjoyed square dancing and traveling with her husband, garage sales, crafting, family genealogy, gardening, writing letters to family and friends and was an animal lover.
Beatrice was known as being a caring and generous soul. Everyone has fond memories of Bea and her kindness. A sweet woman who took a friendly interest in everyone and never had a mean word to say about anyone.
She is survived by her son, Daniel; daughter in law, Kathy; daughter, Sandra; grandchildren: Kara, Katrina, Aaron, Joseph, Keri, David and Michael; her furry companions, Bella, Hope and Luna. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Thursday February 9, 2023 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Rotterdam, NY 12303. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of her granddaughter may be made to JDRF, 1757 Central Avenue, Suite 102, Albany, NY 12205 or jdrf.org.
