Colonie- Belinda Shaffer, 75, surrounded by family, passed away at home on Monday July 15,2024
Belinda was born in Schenectady NY and grew up in the village of Delanson NY. She work for Teresian House Nursing Home for over 33 years as a Light Duty Tech. Bringing a smile to the residences faces and creating strong friendships along the way with fellow coworkers. Belinda was known for being a very hard worker, caring person and was willing to give advice to those in need.
Belinda loved all types of music and often, could find her humming or singing a tune. She loved Dancing and often would be found, tapping her to feet to the beat of music. She loved going camping, from tenting, pop up camper, and then RV’ing. She also enjoyed being able to sit around a camp fire. Belinda, traveled all around the Adirondacks, Maine, Vermont and Virginia. Belinda enjoyed spending time with family, especially impromptu or holiday gatherings. She loved to bake and cook, she put all her love in everything she did.
Belinda is predeceased by her mother Ina Spateholts-Coadney and sister Deborah Spateholts.
Belinda is survived by her husband Donald G. Shaffer. Loving daughter Tracie Coulter. Siblings Audrey Hofmann, Martin Spateholts Jr. and Melody Spateholts. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Belinda enjoyed reading mysteries and quotes, and would like to leave a last message to all who loved and cherished her.
