Albany – Benito Morales, 88, passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on Saturday December 20, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 6, 1926 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico he is the son of the late Tomas and Ines Morales.
Benito immigrated with his family to the United States in 1952 and Settled in New York and made it is home. He loved the game of baseball and was an avid New York Mets fan.
Benito is survived by his children, Miriam Rolon, Hilda Rolon, Marcus (Susan) Morales and Cora Morales; his brothers, Benjamin Morales and Ramon Morales; his sisters Carmen Gonzalez, Maria Delores Ortiz and Lydia Alejandro. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Marna Morales, Kayla Morales, Corey Morales, Israel Rolon Jr., Iris Rolon, Lee Rolon and a host of extended family.
In addition to his parents Benito was predeceased by his wife Lillian Morales, his brother, Fidel Morales, his sons, Israel Rolon and Benito Morales Jr. and daughter Maria Morales.
Funeral services for Benito will be held on Tuesday December 23rd at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
