ALBANY - Benjamin John Salvatore Cocco, 11, went to be with the God on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 after a bicycle accident. Ben was born in Schenectady and is the beloved son of John and Mary Horan Cocco. Ben was a fifth grade student at Mount Moriah Academy. He was very gifted with his hands. He was always creating, whether it was drawing, building something amazing out of nothing or playing his drums. He loved riding his bicycle and swimming. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a truly compassionate and giving young man. He lived his life fearlessly and freely doing what he loved, while loving others. We will miss his physical presence so much and he will always be in our hearts and minds. We know that Ben is in heaven and his spirit lives on. Go Ben !! In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by his brothers, Joshua and Caleb; his sister, Hannah and their family dog, Shiloh. He is the beloved grandson of Carole Horan, William and Linda Horan and the late John and Arlene (Mimi) Cocco. He is the cherished nephew of Theresa (Frank) Pino, Billy (Lisa) Horan, Michael (Buffy) Horan, Chris (Heide) Horan, and John Horan. He is the cousin of Bridgette, Kristen and Stephanie, Philip, Andrew, Arthur, Michael and Amelia. He is survived by many other family and dear friends. Services will be at Mount Moriah Church, Rt. 9W, Glenmont, N.Y. Tuesday, May 26, visitation from 4-5 p.m.; at 5 p.m. will be a celebration of Ben's life.
