Benjamin M. Good, 76 passed away January 26, 2023 with his wife Fran, son Shane, and daughter Samantha by his side.
He was born in Albany, NY November 25, 1946 and is predeceased by his parents Adam J Good and Alice (Dancy) as well as 12 siblings.
Ben was proud to have served in the Army from 1963-1967 and saw combat in Vietnam. He was awarded a Bronze star with V device and a Purple Heart for his service. He retired from Gulf Oil/Chevron after 28 years as a plant manager in Metuchen NJ, Lexington KY, and Troy NY and worked at Gorman Brothers/Mohawk Asphalt in Troy NY for 10 more years.
He traveled extensively and played golf in many locations during his working years. He was an animal lover and was proud of rescuing many cats over the years. In retirement he was an avid golfer and continued to play with many friends and buddies over the years.
Ben leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Fran, his son Christopher, daughter in law Jacque (Bond), son Shane, daughter Samantha, and son in law Dr Jeffrey Gerson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343
New Karner Rd, Colonie NY, 12205 between 10:00 am -12:00pm with internment to follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mohawk Hudson animal shelter.
