NISKAYUNA – Benjamin J. Pompei, 84, formerly of New York City, passed away at the home of his daughter, Donna.
"BJ" as he was known, was born in Bronx, New York on June 24, 1936, a son of the late Benjamin and Emma (Ahlf) Pompei.
BJ proudly served during the Korean War in the United States Army. Following his time in the military, he worked as a dispatcher for several taxi companies in New York City, retiring most recently from Zeroes Cab Co. in the Bronx.
BJ is survived by 2 daughters, Donna M. Pompei and her son, Dominic and Colleen Pompei and her family.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
