ALBANY- Bernard A. Pasquali, D.D.S., passed away on Thursday September 13, 2007 from complications of leukemia. He was born September 5, 1934 in Rensselaer and was the son of the late Agnes and Antoni Pasquali.
Dr. Pasquali was a graduate of Vincentian Institute, St. Bonaventure University and the University of Buffalo, School of Dentistry. He served in the US Air Force for two years and moved to Albany to begin his general practice. After five years, he returned to the University of Buffalo for two years, specializing in orthodontics. He began his orthodontic practice in 1969 on New Scotland Avenue and retired August 31, 2006.
Dr. Pasquali is a Life Member of the New York State Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the 3rd District Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists. He is also a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. He has been a communicant of Christ the King Church for 45 years.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of both the 6th floor and the critical care unit at Albany Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.
Bernie is survived by his wife of 49 years, Laureen (Reenie) and their three children, Dr. Michael (Linda) Pasquali, Lynn (David) Friebel and James (Debbie) Pasquali. His five grandchildren, Laura and Tommy Pasquali, Nicole Friebel and Jennifer and Matthew Pasquali were his special pride and joy. Gramps loved attending their concerts and was a proud supporter of their sporting events. Also survived by a brother Nondo and his family.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:15 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Christ the King Church at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 7 pm at the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at 4:30 for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
