Bernard P. Myers

Schenectady- Bernard P. Myers, 92, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021. Born in Albany he was the son of the late Samuel and Frances Myers. He was the husband of Martha M. Myers, together they shared 66 wonderful years.

Bernie will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid football fan and loved the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed visiting the track in the summer in Saratoga. He cherished the many memories of the wonderful times he spent with his family. Bernie also enjoyed visiting Schroon Lake and Wildwood, NJ. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, Bernard is survived by his children, Mark Myers, Gerry Myers, Jay Myers, Elaine Russell (Tom) and Sanford Myers; daughter-in-law, Debbie Myers; grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Benjamin, Gregory, Anna, Joseph, Emma; great grandchildren, Andrew, Brian, Dylan and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Bernard was predeceased by his son, Michael Myers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478,Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to a charity of one's choice.

Bernard's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Hospice, especially nurse Danielle.

Calling will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205. A funeral service will be at 10am on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Park View Cemetery.
