Bernard W. Biernacki

LATHAM – Bernard Walter "Walt" Biernacki, 86, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Walter and Bernice Biernacki.

Walt served and was honorably discharged from the Coast Guard. He was a self-employed carpenter for 40+ years, serving the Capital District area. Walt was a member of the Blessed Virgin of Mary Czestochowa National Catholic Church in Colonie. He enjoyed Polish music, baseball, fishing and working with his son. Walt was a lover of animals and spending Saturdays with his daughter. He had a great sense of humor.

Walt will be missed by his wife of 35 years, Judy Biernacki; children Robert Biernacki and Christine Graver, both of Albany, and Peter Grant of Latham; brother Teddy Biernacki of Clearwater, FL, and grandchildren Robert, Courtney and Sophie Biernacki.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
