Bernice Heim Guynup, 70, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Bernice was born in Utica to the late Charles and Agnes Heim. She moved to the Albany area as a child, were she met her husband Ronald and began raising her family which Bernice loved spending time with, especially her granddaughter, Leeanne.
Bernice is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Ronald H. Guynup, Sr. her children; Kenny Guynup, Dawn (James) Reinke, Pam (Wayne) Pinkerton, Joanne (Joe) Mazoway, and her daughter-in-law Monica Guynup. She is the loving grandmother of Rosemary, Justin, Jason and Leeanne. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; her brother, Jimmy Heim; her sister, Dolly Ragone-Manderson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Bernice is predeceased by her son, Ronald H. Guynup, Jr.; her brothers, Charles and Richard; and her sisters, Loretta and Mary.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Ellis and the Hospice caregivers for their love and support through this difficult time.
