Bertha Black

ALBANY – Bertha J. Black, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2006. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Sophie Roth. Mrs. Black was a resident of Albany for 52 years. Bertha was the beloved wife of the late William S. Black. She is the loving mother of Brenda (Anthony) Germann of East Harwich, MA, William (Pamela) Black of Easton, MD and Linda Susan Black of Albany. She is the devoted grandmother of Laura (Byron) Winn, Stacey (Timothy) Germann, Kristen (Gregory) Winn, William (Diana) Black, Christopher (Sandra) Smith and Megan Black. She is the cherished great-grandmother of Connor, Braden and Gillian Winn, Kylie and Kaitlyn Germann, Amanda and Anthony Winn and Jacob, Nicolas and Daniel Smith.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Bertha's life will be held on her 90th birthday in February 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Guilderhaven Inc.
