Bertha E. Pakan, age 103, of Eastholm Road, died December 10, 2017. She was born January 21, 1914 in Schenectady and was a life long resident. She was the daughter of the late Michael Guthan and Marie (Bouse) Guthan.
She was a member of the first graduating class of Mount Pleasant High School in 1932. Bertha was a self-employed beautician and homemaker. Bertha was predeceased in 1973 by her husband Paul Pakan, whom she married in 1946.
She was also predeceased by a sister, Elsie Docsar of Colonie, Survivors include a son, Paul M. Pakan of Schenectady, a niece Diane Powers of Granby, CT. She is also survived by many cousins.
At Bertha's request there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
