Beth Ann Parker, 66, a beloved daughter, mother, and dear friend to many, passed away peacefully in her home on January 18th.
Born on July 19th, 1955 in Albany, NY, Beth grew up in Voorheesville, where she loved being outside playing sports and horseback riding at her Grandfather Newcomb's farm. Graduating from Voorheesville HS in 1973, Beth went on to obtain an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene from HVCC, and in 1976 began a 20+ year career at Dr. Cunningham's office in Albany. During that time, she started her family which brought her most treasured gifts, her 4 children who she loved and adored very much. Many friends have come forward with so many fond memories of a young Beth, always smiling, always being positive and supportive to everyone, and aside from being an amazing cook, she was a genuinely loving person. She adored the sunny weather as much as she adored her kids. From sitting with her girlfriends and watching the boys hit golf balls at the driving range, to bringing the TV outside with her young kids in the pack n' play to watch soaps and tan in the sun. Beth always made the best stuffed shells and carrot cake. Her desserts were as sweet as she was full of life. In 2001, she earned the title of Grandma Beth and would live on to be blessed with her 8 beautiful grandchildren, who she loved so very much. Ultimately she was taken from her family way too soon, and she will always be cherished in our hearts. A woman who showed class but also enjoyed the simple, casual things in life, like watching the Cowboys on Sundays, and bringing the kids to Ground Round. The world would be a much more gracious and wonderful place if we all had Beth's kind heart.
Beth is survived by her mother, Dorothy Welsch of Inverness FL; her four children, Jarred Parker (Sarrie), Lauren Mahar (Gregory), Tara Smith (Adam), and Collin Parker. Also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Jordyn Grace, Hailey Kay, Natalie Marie, Anthony Joseph, Charlotte Mae, Danielle Elise, Gabrielle Kelley, and Grayson Parker.
Beth was predeceased by her father, William Welsch; and her brother, William "Billy" Welsch.
A private family service was held in her honor, and a memorial event will take place at a later time.
