Guilderland- Elizabeth (Betty) T. Cestaro, 66, of Guilderland, passed away on Thursday November 13, 2008 at her residence after a long illness.
She was born in Brooklyn and was the daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Lamb Benson. Betty was an office administrator for Audio Visual Sales and Service in Schenectady. She was a longtime resident of Cohoes. Betty was an avid New York Yankee fan. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Betty is the beloved wife of 48 years to Anthony Cestaro Sr.. She is the devoted mother of Anna Marie (Mimi) Mosher, Patricia A. (Lawrence) Weaver, Anthony (Shelley) Cestaro Jr., Donna (Matthew) Gutzwiller and Elizabeth T. (Marc) Nichols. She is the cherished grandmother of Nicole (Robert), Kayla, Shawn, Trish, Michael, Kimberly & Amandabeth. She is the great grandmother of Mackenzie.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 2 to 5 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A prayer service will be held at 5:00 on Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 423A New Karner Rd. Albany NY 12205 in memory of Elizabeth T. Cestaro.
