Cohoes- Betty J. Smith passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 28, 2015 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. She was 79 years old.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald C. Smith, her parents: Harry and Mary Schermerhorn, her daughter Margaret Bruno. She is survived by her daughters: Debby (John) Imbriano of Port St. Lucie FL and Holly (Raymond, Jr.) Yetto of Cohoes; her brother William "Billy" Schermerhorn of Guilderland Center, NY; her grandchildren: Lisa Betts, Matthew Betts, Stacey Laraway and Audrey (A.J.) St. Denis; 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 31 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
