Betty Joan Moore

NISKAYUNA – Betty Joan Moore passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 after a brief illness while at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York at the age of 86. She was a resident of Pine Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philmont, New York.
Betty was born to Ernest A. Moore and Rose Moyster on February 7, 1926 in Seward, New York. She was the fifth of six children. She graduated from Altamont High School in 1942. She retired from General Electric Company (INSE) after many years of distinguished service. Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother; brothers, Alfred and Richard; and sister, Hazel (Kross)Leland. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Versace of Palm Springs, California; nephew, David Kross of Niskayuna; and brother, Allyn of Juneau, Alaska.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Berne and Beaverdam Cemetery in Berne, New York.
