Betty J. King

Glenville- Betty J. King, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Born in Langley, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ruby Aiken. Betty is survived by her loving husband of, 73 years, Blaine H. King.

Betty had an infectious love for life. She enjoyed shopping, lunching with friends, and spending time with her family. Betty's joy and laughter would fill a room and she loved to shock her family with outrageous statements. Betty loved reminiscing about her youth in South Carolina; she treasured her memories of her southern roots. Her spirituality was her anchor and Betty shared her blessings with all who knew her. Her family will always remember her for her loving spirit and gentle, giving nature. Her husband will always remember his Rebel.

In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her children Blaine Jr. (Marivic), Brenda, and Barry as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Christina (Steven), Brian (Jennifer), Daniel, Andrew, Matthew, Joshua, Grady, and Olivia.

She is predeceased by her sister Carolyn Moore of Delaware.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm with interment following at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
