ALBANY – Minister Betty L. Inman went home to be with her Savior on Friday, July 8, 2011. She was born on April 17, 1942 in Chadbourn, NC to the late Covel and Louella Dewitt. Betty moved to Albany in 1969 and worked for the Eden Park Nursing Home and later at the Veteran's Administration Hospital where she worked until she became disabled. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Bishop Rube Bethea and later moved her membership to New Jerusalem Home of the Saved under the leadership of Elder Timothy Harper, where she remained until her passing. In her church, she was a minister and her ministry included decorator, evangelism worker, Tuesday night service leader, preaching, teaching and being very faithful in the all night shut-ins. Betty leaves to cherish her precious memory three daughters: Wanda Faye Frink and Sharon Michelle Weaver both of Albany and Phyllis (Rolando) Rodrigo of Hopelawn, NJ; three sons: Bobby Kenneth Jr. and Terry D. Inman, both of Albany , Anthony Inman of Chadbourn, NC and the late Dennis Ivory Inman. Also surviving are four brothers, five sisters, twenty-five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, twenty-six nieces, twenty nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 12:00 p.m. at New Jerusalem Home of the Saved Church, 160 Sheridan Ave., Albany. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 to 12:00 at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albany.
