Betty M. Gregory

COLONIE, NY – Betty M. Gregory of Colonie, passed away on Monday, August 08, 2011, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a brief illness. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Nettie (Maxwell) Funk. She was a Principle Account Clerk for the New York State Teachers Retirement System before her retirement. Betty had lived in Albany for all of her life. She enjoyed reading and loved all animals. Betty was happy spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald I. Gregory. Betty is the devoted mother of Donna L. (the late Walter) Streeter, Kathleen Gregory and John R. Gregory and his wife, Grace (Cleveland). Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Betty was predeceased by her sisters; Nettie Morgan Russ, Ada Hirsch, Katherine Wachtel, Jessie Farrigan and Margaret Lewis.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
