PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - Betty Wikoff White of Port St. Lucie, FL, and formerly of Colonie, passed peacefully in her 94th year, at Treasure Coast Hospice House on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She will now join her beloved husband of 69 years in eternal rest.
Betty was born in Summit, NJ and became an Albany area resident in her early teens. She was a graduate of Albany High School, Class of 1937 and married the love of her life, Edward J. White, on March 14, 1942. In 1953, she moved with her family to the Village of Colonie where she lived until 2009 when she then relocated to Florida to live and be cared for by her granddaughter. She was retired from the Albany International Corp (Albany Felt) in 1984 after more than 30 years.
Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Colleen (Frank) Koniszewski; her devoted granddaughter, Donna (Kevin) Fahd and great granddaughters, Alyssa and Megan Fahd, all of Port St. Lucie, FL. She is also survived by her sister, Laura McConkey of Hollywood FL; her sister-in-law, Mary Buher of Wilmington, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Immediately following the services, interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie.
