Bettye J. Robinson

ALBANY - Bettye Robinson was born November 24, 1943 and called home to the Lord on February 6, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents L.T. Robinson and Izola Fields Staples and step father Clint Staples. She was also predeceased by her sister Mildred Hudson.
Bettye was born and educated in Atmore, Alabama and moved to New York State over 45 years ago. She worked at Simmons Fasteners/South Co for over 20 years and retired. She then worked briefly for the Dept. of Social Services and the Clarion Hotel.
She leaves cherish her sons: Larry Robinson, Mathew (Clarissa) Robinson, Patrick "Flay" (Brenda) Robinson, Fredrick (Tyiesha) Robinson, all of Albany, NY and Vernon Charles Boykin (pre-deceased), two daughters: Beverly (Travis) Perkins of Montgomery, Alabama and Anjanette (Eric) Hartley of West Hempstead, NY. She has 15 grandchildren and 4 great grand children.
She has 6 sisters: Shirley Moore, Betfa Rudolph, Darnell Rudolph, Sharon Bolden and Yolanda (Robert) Crittenden all of Atmore, Alabama. Jessie (Ossie) Peacock of Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; 5 brothers: Clint Staples Jr., Carl (Celia) Staples, Archie (Jackie) Staples, Willie Staples and Victor (Gwendolyn) Staples, Gregory (Donna) Staples, Ricky (Angela) Daniels all of Atmore Alabama. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special thanks to friends Zenobia Mitchell, Mary Williams, Bo Chrenshaw, and special step daughter Jacqueline Burton.
Funeral Services will be Monday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie @12noon. Visitation will be Monday from 11 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
