Albany- Beulah "Ma" Wimbush, 85, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Ma was born in Halifax, VA to the late Alex and Kathleen Bailey on October 13, 1932. She was the wife of the late Robert Wimbush for over 50 years until his passing in 2000. Together they raised seven children. Ma will be remembered for her love of cooking, and WWE wrestling. She was a caring and giving person. Her passion in life was her family.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert, her daughter, Barbara Smith Wimbush, her grandson, Robert Wimbush III, and her brother, James Bailey.
Ma is survived by her children, Mavis Traynham, Joane Wimbush, Michael (Ann) Wimbush, Robert (Nancy) Wimbush, Gary Wimbush, and Sharita Wimbush, her grandchildren, Michele, Ricky (Sherry), Marvin, Ricky, Charles, Lawan, Micky(Angie), Rome, Jerome, Khrystin, DaShawn(Katie), Jazma, Shannon, Kayla, LaToya, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, her sister Earleen Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 3 Morton Ave, Albany, NY 12202, on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 11:00am-12:00pm, with a service to immediate follow. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Albany, NY.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Good Samaritan Lutheran HCC for all of their care and compassion, especially, AD and BC Wings.
