COLONIE – Beverly J. Baumann, 76, passed away peacefully after a short illness, on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Beverly was born on August 2, 1936 in West Coxsackie and resided most of her life in Colonie. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Bennett Kapusta. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, baking, reading, genealogy, and was a member of the Colonie Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Beverly had a passion and talent for crafting and handmade gifts for which she shared with those closest to her heart and will be cherished forever. She most especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, William J. Baumann; her loving daughters, Sue Sim (Edward), Colleen Gizzi (Brian), Donna Sipperly (Michael), and Karin Hoenig; her treasured grandchildren, Lindsey Hunter (Kevin), Brian Sim, Megan Sim Rogan (Justin), Brittany LaFreniere (Paul), Victoria, Collin and Michaela Sipperly, Dennis and Annabelle Hoenig; her adored great grandchildren, Liana Hunter and Aubrey LaFreniere; and her feline companion, Andrew Lloyd Webber. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie then to St. Clare's Church, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory's Garden in Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
