Beverly J. Dunn

May 7, 1922 — February 4, 2013

Beverly J. Dunn, 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Formerly of Guilderland, Beverly was born in Lynne, MA and lived in several other cities before residing in Bloomfield, NJ where she graduated from High School. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle (Guyman) Ginns. She was also predeceased in death by her husband Edmund J. Dunn and her sister Shirley Ginns.

During World War II Beverly was an active member of the WAVES. She worked for the State of New York for over 20 years, retiring while working for the retirement system.

Until her illness prevented her from further involvement, Beverly was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia for many years. Prior to that, Beverly was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rotterdam.
She is survived by her children Gail (Jerry) Ostrander of Guilderland and Bill (Maritza) Dunn of Levittown, PA.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be a calling hour prior to the funeral beginning at 10 am at Church. Interment will be at Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that contributions be made in Beverly's memory to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 103 S. Reynolds Street, Scotia, NY 12302

The family would like to thank the staff of the Courtyard at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center for the loving care provided Beverly during her difficult journey.
